You are a successful person who wants to help others. You see a need for the creation of a charity in your community so where do you start? Creating a charitable organization is a complicated undertaking. Find the answers to these questions before you dive into the process.

  5. Who do I need to bring on board? You might need a board of directors or advisory committee. You have to decide what criteria these persons must meet and know where to find candidates.

  6. What paperwork do you need to file? Contact state officials regarding these papers and find out how much it is to file them. In general, you need to complete documentation comparable to those starting a for profit business.
